PHNOM PENH, Feb. 4 (Khmer Times) – The Danish government has denied providing financial support for efforts to establish a Cambodian government in exile by the Khmer National Liberation Front (KNLF).
KNLF President Sam Serey previously told Khmer Times that the Government of Denmark was providing the organization with a monthly fund of $3,500 to assist to establish a government in exile.
“The Danish government does not recognize any other government than the Cambodian government in Phnom Penh,” said Sandra Jensen Landi, deputy head of mission for the Royal Danish Embassy in Bangkok.
“KNLF does not receive any financial support from the Royal Danish government,” she added. Ms. Landi noted that the KNLF is operating in Denmark as a legally registered NGO.
